RISE receives assignment from FMV for selection of future fighter aircraft system

FMV has signed a contract with RISE to conduct a national and international survey of industrial capabilities in preparation for the selection of Sweden's future combat aircraft system.

RISE will conduct a national and international survey of industrial capabilities and contribute its technical expertise to provide a complementary basis for the industrial analysis that FMV is conducting on behalf of the Swedish Armed Forces within the Fighter Aircraft Roadmap programme;

The study will take place during 2025 and is expected to identify relevant organisations, competencies and technical infrastructure as part of the decision-making basis for the selection of a supply solution for a future combat aircraft system.

"In this contract, our breadth is unique, including expertise and technical infrastructure in sustainable materials, composite technology, cybersecurity, AI, additive manufacturing, energy storage and autonomy, to name just a few areas.
