Lisa is a researcher, innovation expert and educator in design thinking. In 2013, she defended her thesis "Design thinking as an enabler of innovation: exploring the concept and its relation to building innovation capabilities" at Chalmers University of Technology. Her research focuses on how organisations in the private and public sector can build organisational capabilities for innovation, the implementation of design thinking as an approach to transformation, and the opportunities and barriers that arise in relation to this. She also has practical experience from industry. Together with her colleagues at Chalmers, she pioneered research on design thinking in organisational settings, and through this she interacts with and collaborates with some of the most internationally experienced practitioners and researchers in the field. As a Senior Researcher at RISE, she strives to bridge academia and practice through multidisciplinary collaborations and research projects. The projects relate to societal transformation with design methodology as a common thread. For example, she works in the areas of design and policy, inclusion, future sustainable work environment, formation of circular business ecosystems and methodology development, to name a few. Lisa is an appreciated speaker and has several years of experience in teaching design thinking at master level at Chalmers University of Technology, as well as training courses at different levels for organisations.
