Ola Widlund

Master in Engineering Physics (Lund) and a Ph.D. in Fluid Mechanics (KTH, Stockholm). Most of my career has been as an R&D specialist in industry, mixed with academic and applied research in France. My main topics are numerical modeling, fluid dynamics, turbulence modeling and magnetohydrodynamics. I also have valuable experience in governance of High Performance Computing (HPC) resources, uncertainty quantification and processes for building and assessing credibility in simulation applications. I work at RISE since 2015, where I manage a group of researchers and engineers specialized in mechanical reliability, material properties and structural engineering. I have also headed a strategic effort within RISE to develop our activities in numerical modeling and validation.
