Rakesh Shrestha

Rakesh is an avid researcher with expertise in information and communication engineering. His main research interests include wireless communications, edge cloud computing, vehicular networks, aerial vehicles, wireless security, federated learning, homomorphic encryption, blockchain, IoT, machine learning, IDS, anomaly detection, among others. He is involved in Distributed Artificial Intelligence System (DAIS) project which is a pan-European project. His main contribution was to identify anomalies in smart grid system by using state of the art anomaly detection techniques and provide privacy using homomorphic encryption in federated learning setup. He is interested in future enabling technologies, AI/ML techniques, cybersecurity and edge-cloud computing including autonomous vehicles, aerial vehicles, blockchain and smart health applications.
