Evaluation and visualization tools
Data-driven digital decision support using interactive evaluation and visualization tools that quantify and visualize the effects (or non-effects) that arise from, for example, changed processes, the introduction of innovations and new solutions, interventions etc. are requested by many municipalities and other public sector actors.
Effective communication towards a broad audience of users
RISE roll as an independent third-party with its cross-sector knowledge and expertise is to carry out research activities targeting societal challenges. In parallel, it is also equally import to disseminate research results e.g. through online evaluation and visualization tools that provide the society with solid cost/benefits/effects (financial, environmental and/or social/health related) or purely technical evaluation and visualization of e.g. a specific innovation, new digital service or technological solutions. Through these independent research-based online tools public sector actors (region, municipalities, government agencies) get enlightened and inspired to the adoption or investment of new digital services or innovative technological solutions which in turn will promote companies that deliver these new services or solutions. In parallel, companies may also get enlightened and inspired by these online tools e.g. for better understanding of the societal needs/challenges which in turn will promote further development of their products/technologies, either independently or even can team up with RISE in order to better meet the societal challenges in climate change and digital transformation in all the aspects of our society.
Our cross-disciplinary expertise
Along this track, we at RISE have established our unique expertise not only in common online visualization platform infrastructure development, but also in integrating research-based impact evaluation models into the developed visualization platform to establish publicly available interactive online evaluation and visualization tools in order to disseminate impact evaluation research results towards a broad audience of users. Our expertise is manifested throughout the years by several developed highly appreciated research results based online tools, which can also serve as digital decision support for public sector stakeholders in order to, e.g. introduce a new digital service in a municipality.
