OpenModelica - modeling, simulation and optimization of CPS
OpenModelica is a free and open source environment based on the Modelica modeling language for modeling, simulating, optimizing and analyzing complex dynamic systems. The goal of this project is to create a comprehensive environment based on free software distributed in binary and source code form for research, teaching, and industrial usage.
The Project
OpenModelica is an open-source Modelica-based modeling and simulation environment intended for industrial and academic usage. Its long-term development is supported by a non-profit organization – the Open Source Modelica Consortium (OSMC). An overview journal paper is available and slides about Modelica and OpenModelica.
We invite researchers and students, or any interested developer to participate in the project and cooperate around OpenModelica, tools, and applications.
Tools
- OMC - the OpenModelica compiler
- OMSimulator - an standalone FMI & SSP-based co-simulation environment
- OMEdit - the OpenModelica Connection Editor
- OMShell - an interactive shell
- OMNotebook - an interactive literate programming notebook
- OMPython, OMJulia, OMMatlab - bindings to OpenModelica from several languages
