Strategy and innovation support mental health Region Stockholm

The collaboration aimed to provide conditions for better mental health and well-being for the population, as well as to supplement and, in the long run, relieve health and medical care by strengthening promotional and preventive initiatives for mental health.

In collaboration with Region Stockholm, RISE has assisted the region in strengthening its innovation system for mental health. This has included identifying the need for competence and capacity reinforcements in Region Stockholm, to contribute to developed cooperation between the diversity of actors operating in the regional, national and international innovation system. And to develop forms for how we can work with new financing models, and find process measures and outcome measures of what system innovation looks like.

The collaboration has, among other things, resulted in a 'Strategy for the promotion of mental health and well-being as well as the prevention of mental illness 2022-2030' being adopted by the Health and Medical Care Board in March 2021.

The collaboration has also resulted in several sub-projects related to the area being carried out, including surveys of digital needs among children and young people, as well as the elderly 65+, as well as studies and an MVP on a digital portal for young people.
