Workplace Innovation for Sustainable Industry

This project will conduct a future study in 2022 with the aim of preparing an application and a consortium for a new competence centre for sustainable industry. The aim of the planned centre is to strengthen knowledge for the development of socially sustainable, competitive and green industries, at an accelerating pace of change.

Future-oriented study

The future-oriented study for sustainable industry is based on areas of strength at companies at the forefront, and the Swedish model in working life.

In particular, social sustainability dimensions are focused in rapidly changing industries and specifically related to three areas:

(i) Organisational resilience

(ii) Supply of competences

(iii) Sustainable work

Through a structured research approach using Delphi-study with Open Space Workshops, industrial companies and researchers will together explore the challenges of sustainable industry and identify the priority challenges and the most relevant and scientifically important issues for the future.

The future study is carried out in close cooperation with industry and the social partners through, among other things, the project consortium, The Swedish R&D Manufacturing Cluster and the network AFoU, Workplace-related R6D for sustainable working life.
