Democratic storytelling

Thriving North is a project that aims to communicate the story of the North of Sweden. This story is not one story. It is an always evolving, ever-changing narrative.

Shaped by those who live here, have lived here, or could live here in the future. Thriving North developed the idea of democratic storytelling.

Giving equal space to pluralistic, non-homogenous ways of sharing individual stories that together form a narrative. The project does this through a manifesto, a toolbox and a prototype digital platform.

Thriving North has been designed by Rosa Van der Veen, Jeroen Peeters, Tisha Hupkes and Rebecca Lindmark.
