Contact DanielWe are specialists in EMC testing where special resources, competence and accreditation are required from small industrial products to vehicles.
We perform accredited testing of radio characteristics for type approval in the EU, USA and Canada and verify and analyse various radio communication equipment requirements.
In order to place a radio product on the European market, it must be CE marked according to the Radio Directive (RED). Among other things, the essential requirement "effective use of spectrum" must be met. One way to meet this requirement is to perform testing according to the organization's ETSI harmonized standards.

In order to place products on the market in different countries, the products must comply with regulations and standards specific to the countries and regions. The process of managing compliance globally with regulatory requirements is often referred to as Global Market Access (GMA).
We have a global network of partners we choose from to make the certification process as fast and smooth as possible and to ensure that your product meets the certification requirements in different countries globally. RISE offers a comprehensive service to secure global EMC, radio and GMA approvals.

RISE performs tests to meet marine EMC requirements on everything from components to systems so that they can be approved for use.
We perform tests according to a variety of standards and certifications. Among other things, we perform tests against marine requirements such as "Det Norske Veritas standard for certification No 2.4", which includes EMC and IACS E10, a test specification for marine type approval and the general standard for CE marking of marine navigation and communication equipment EN 60945.

The reverberation chamber is a custom-built measuring chamber that uses the walls and different reflectors to create different modes inside the chamber.
The benefits of immunity testing in a reverberation chamber are that lower power is needed to obtain high field strengths and that the test object is exposed to disturbance from all directions, which should be safer than if it is exposed from 4 directions. One disadvantage is that it takes longer to perform.
The advantage of emission measurements is that it is faster to measure TRP than to measure TRP in a fully anechoic chamber. The disadvantage is that it does not measure ERP and that the direction of the emission from the sample object cannot be measured.

RISE performs tests on products where EMC requirements are set. We can also provide advice, verification and analysis of EMC requirements for industrial products.
CE marking if you comply with the EMC Directive!
To be able to CE mark a product, you must be able to prove that the product meets the requirements of the EMC directive. RISE can perform the tests required, such as radiated and conducted emission and immunity, resistance to voltage transients and electrostatic discharge (ESD).

RISE is a Notified Body (NB) for Europe and a Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB) for the USA.
For the EU, manufacturers can obtain an EC-type examination Certificate as proof of an independent review of their technical documentation for their CE marking of the product.
In the United States, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) defines the regulations for placing electrical products on the market. Here, the requirements are not in standards issued by standardization organizations, but instead, they are enrolled in the CFR (Code of Federal Regulations). The part that deals with EMC and radio requirements is called Title 47 Telecommunication.
