I have been a project leader at RISE since 2015 and am currently a PhD student affiliated with Linköping university.
I study organizations. I usually meet them in connection with crisis preparedness, management or learning. A crisis is a surprising, stressful and uncertain event - otherwise it is not a crisis. Crises have scenario-independent characteristics and crisis management is affected by both specific crisis preparedness work, and everyday governance, organizational design, processes, tasks and procedures.
My focus is the relationship between everyday preconditions and the organizational ability to adapt and transform in crisis. Here, the existing models and methods of today do not necessarily help us. I can help actors understand how and why, and what they can do instead.
I approach my work from a systems and usability perspective, employing participatory practices. My primary interest lies in exploring safety aspects that are often overlooked, focusing on creating better conditions for professional skills, creativity, flexibility, and spontaneous collaboration.
