Data science increases the value of data
With the speed and storage capacity of today’s computers, we can process, analyse and extract knowledge from vast quantities of data. As the volume of information grows, so does the importance of data science. New methods for processing information give us the ability to discover new patterns for how things work and give rise to new valuable innovations. In particular, the area of AI has moved very fast and methods like computer vision and natural language processing have opened up entirely new application areas. Some examples of data science applications at RISE include early indication on the spread of viruses, optimal traffic planning and increased food safety through analysing DNA data of millions of microorganisms.
RISE offers expertise and experience within the entire field of data science. From advanced statistics and signal processing to modern AI methods and scalable data platforms, as well as a wide range of applications – from industrial data analysis to new innovative products and services.
