A basic course for those who want to actively and strategically work on inclusion for individuals suffering from migraines and light sensitivity in the workplace, utilizing the physical environment and lighting. Learn the basics about migraines and light sensitivity, as well as lighting solutions that can help create a more supportive environment.

Course Content

The training provides practical tips on how to improve the workplace environment from a migraine perspective. You will gain an overview of existing research and the factors that can be addressed to make a workplace more inclusive for people with migraines.

The course equips you with insights to translate knowledge into action. It also includes contact details for lighting solution providers who can help implement these changes.

 

Objectives

In this course, you will learn:

  • The basics of light sensitivity in migraines.
  • Principles for designing and adapting workplaces to be more inclusive for individuals with migraines.
  • Individual differences in the perception of light and color.
  • How to practically apply an inclusive approach in the planning process.

Target Audience

The course is aimed at those working with workplace environments, such as safety representatives, lighting planners, installers, or interior designers in the public or private sector, who are planning changes to current lighting solutions (e.g., due to the phasing out of old fluorescent tubes).

 

Format

This active course is a one-hour lecture including a Q&A session.
