Future research and innovation connected to C-DAS and Digital graph

C-DAS (Connected Driving Advisory System) provides new opportunities for the Trafikverket to control and optimize railway traffic. There is a great need to develop the knowledge about the “traffic management side” of C-DAS and the use of the opportunities that C-DAS provides for the infrastructure manager.

The project is a feasibility study to investigate the needs for future research, innovation and demonstration in connection with the introduction of C-DAS, including its collaboration with Digital Graph. Research and innovation around C-DAS will be part of the EU-RAIL program. Of particular interest is therefore how C-DAS research, innovation and demonstration can be linked to Europe's Rail. At the same time, European standards in this area are emerging.

The feasibility study will result in a description of the research needs in the area, in particular from a Swedish perspective, with descriptions of different sub-areas and how they can be linked to Europe's Rail.
