Contact AndersThe project is part of a research center financed by SSF and entitled Production, Use and Storage of Hydrogen (PUSH). RISE is focusing on laboratory testing through electrochemical characterization methods, concact resistance measurements and materials characterization including subsequent analysis.
Hydrogen is expected to play a key role in a future fossile free society within sectors such as energy, transport and production of chemicals. The PUSH research centre is addressing technical and scientifical solutions for the use of hydrogen in sustainable energy systems. The PUSH centre is lead by KTH and the partners are Lund University, Umeå University, Chalmers and RISE. In this research centre RISE is focusing on life time testing and materials development within PEM fuel cells and Anion exchange membran electrolysis for hydrogen production.
Components to be investigated are among others, bipolar plates and porous gas distribution layers. The research will focus on laborative characterization through electrochemical measurement methods, contact resistance measurements and materials characterization including subsequent analysis.
The research centre on hydrogen is financed by Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research. The centre is one of four centres funded through the Agenda 2030 Research Centers (SSF-ARC) with the purpose of solving the United Nations 2030 goals. Each centre is receiving 50 million SEK.
