Test bed for building envelope concerning moisture, air leaking and thermal properties
Nationally unique. Highly contemporary and internationally competitive as it offers unique opportunities to test the entire building system in terms of weather and rain resistance. Evaluation of heat loss, radon transmission and risk of mold growth is also possible.
The test beds are located in Borås and consist of a variety of test rigs and climate chambers.
The test bed consists of:
- Four different air- and rain-tight chambers
- Ageing chambers
- Several climate chambers (-30- + 80 ° C)
- Microscope for mold analysis
- Hot boxs for U-value determination
- Plate method for determination of thermal conductivity
- Equipment for determining the radon resistance
- Shake equipment for setting of loose wool insulation
- Equipment for function check of insulating glass eg. scales, temperature gauge, humidity gauge, pressure gauge etc.
- Workshop etc.
