Contact TuerdiTuerdi Maimaitiyili works with advanced characterization techniques using X-ray and neutron imaging and diffraction techniques, with a strong emphasis on tomography.
Tuerdis expertise is mainly in diffraction and image-based material characterization techniques at large-scale facilities, including tomography. In addition, Tuerdi has a good knowledge of scientific programming, along with experience in developing robust data analysis pipelines for specific industrial needs. He also has expertise in residual stress analysis, and destructive and non-destructive material testing methodologies at synchrotron and neutron facilities.
Tuerdi holds a PhD in Materials Science and Engineering from Lund University. He has conducted extensive research on titanium alloys and additive manufacturing, and he conducted postdoctoral research at the Paul Scherrer Institute in Switzerland. There he focused on developing test environments and test methods to characterize metallic materials during advanced materials processing and manufacturing using synchrotron X-ray and neutron technologies. He has also worked as a research specialist at Swerim AB.
