Strategic and Circular Sustainability Across the Entire Value Chain

Purpose

Customers, employees, and society at large expect companies and organizations to take greater responsibility for sustainability issues, especially when it comes to climate change. But how do we get started, and how can we be sure that what we’re doing leads to the desired results?

The mission of RISE is to strengthen Sweden’s competitiveness by providing you with the knowledge and methods needed to meet the growing demands for sustainability.

After completing this workshop series, you will have gained both formal and practical knowledge, enabling you to take the next steps on your own.

Method

In this workshop series, we explore what your organization can do—ranging from overarching strategies to activities that reduce sustainability impacts through increased circularity, environmental value stream analysis, key current and upcoming regulations, and how to effectively communicate your sustainability efforts.

Each workshop is based on your specific challenges and involves hands-on work to deliver concrete results that you can continue developing independently. All methods are scientifically grounded and have been developed through various research projects. The workshops can be conducted in person, digitally, or as a hybrid, depending on your preferences.

Delivery

The workshop series consists of several modules designed to meet your specific needs. You can select one or more modules depending on the challenges you wish to address.

• Introduction to Sustainability provides a broad understanding and knowledge base to tackle these issues while inspiring increased engagement.
• Strategy Workshop helps you define direction and priorities in your sustainability work, ensuring that your efforts align with your goals and deliver the desired results.
• Sustainable Value Chains focuses on how existing products/services can become more sustainable and how to approach the development of future products/services.
• Circular Products and Services explores opportunities for circular material, component, and product flows, as well as decoupling value creation from resource consumption.
• Sustainability Communication reviews regulations and guidelines for environmental claims, helping you avoid greenwashing and ensuring transparency.
• Coaching in Specific Areas addresses your unique challenges with guidance from an expert in the relevant field.

All workshops include an overview of relevant legislation to ensure compliance in all areas.

By completing the modules, you will gain both formal and practical knowledge in each area, equipping you to take the next steps independently. The focus is on practical work that drives real progress.
