ADAXIS joins the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing

On April 5, 2024, ADAXIS officially entered into partnership with the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing (AM Center) at RISE, becoming its 20th member.

"We are thrilled to welcome ADAXIS as a new partner in the center. Their involvement allows us to further enhance our focus on automation, design, and preparation for large-scale robotic printing," says Marie-Louise Bergholt, Director of the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing.

Advancements in additive manufacturing, commonly referred to as 3D printing, have surged in recent years. This technology has transformed the manufacturing sector by facilitating the creation of complex geometries with high precision and tailored properties. The establishment of the Application Center for Additive Manufacturing aimed to democratize access to this technology for businesses of all sizes. Since its inception, the center has rapidly expanded, now housing an extensive array of equipment and expertise. The latest addition represents a stride forward in ongoing development efforts.

"ADAXIS membership broadens the center's overall competence and diversity of expertise, which I truly believe will benefit the other partners and the center as a whole," says Marie-Louise Bergholt.

ADAXIS is a Swedish-French software company specializing in large-scale 3D printing with industrial robot. The company was founded in 2021 by Henri Bernard, Guénolé Bras, Emil Johansson, and Vasan Churchill, after years of applied research in industrial robotics for advanced manufacturing at ESTIA and RISE. The company becomes AM Center's first partner in the startup category.

Emil Johansson, co-founder and CPO, ADAXIS.

"AM Center embodies Swedish excellence in 3D printing and the industrialization of additive manufacturing. One of the center's key strengths lies in its ability to propel additive manufacturing to a stage where the technology attains commercial viability. Having collaborated closely with RISE for an extended period, it's truly exciting to now officially join the center," says Emil Johansson, co-founder and CPO at ADAXIS.

ADAXIS has clients all over the world, spanning industries such as automotive, aerospace, and construction, as well as manufacturing and defense sectors. Their primary markets are located in Europe and the USA.

"In recent years, we have witnessed a rapid development of robot-based 3D printing in countries such as the Netherlands, France, Germany, and the USA. It will be very interesting for us to understand the potential value of large-scale robot printing for the Swedish industry. I am truly looking forward to initiating tangible projects together with RISE and the center's partners, and working hands-on to take the technology to the next level. I believe there are many intriguing cases to explore. We have had the privilege of collaborating with several of the center's partners before, and as part of the center, we have the opportunity to deepen these collaborations further,"  says Emil Johansson.
