Per-Olof Sjöberg

Per-Olof Sjöberg is senior advisor in digitalization.

Per-Olof Sjöberg har for 6 years been Head of Business and Innovation Area Digitalization. The business and innovation area includes the following focus areas;
• Digitalization in the industry
• Digitalization of the public sector
• The connected individual
• Connected cities
• RISE in Digital Europe

Per-Olof has worked with digitalization for 42 years. Since 2009 he has been at RISE with responsibility for digitalization. At RISE, he has previously been responsible for the e-health area and, among other things, led the COPD project for treatment of chronically ill patients at home.
Per-Olof has a long experience of innovation both in large companies as well as in SMEs. He has 24 years of experience from Ericsson, including responsibility for the home communications area within Ericsson Business Innovation. For five years he worked for the City of Stockholm, including as manager of the R&D department at Stokab.
He is educated at Royal Institute of Stockholm and at MIT Sloan School in Boston.
At RISE, he works in areas such as AI, cybersecurity, circular economy, roadmaps for industry, open and shared data, digitization of industry and the public sector, and with the individualization of digital services linked to privacy and ethics issues.
