Audio-visuell perception in particular for sensory deprivation
Hearing and vision provide knowledge on the external world. Many persons are hindered to obtain good information about their environment or to utilize ordinary information sources, With modern technology many sensory deprivations can be alleviated.
To understand how a person perceives the world around them, including when using a digital medium, one should include all the senses that are used and that are affected by the human-computer interaction. There are several studies that treats the visual information, as well as several that study the acoustic information that reaches our ears.
In this project we want to investigate how to understand how both hearing and sight interact with digital information. This will be performed on hearing, sighted persons and people with sensory disabilities.
