Plastics that contribute to a sustainable future
The use of polymeric materials (plastics) has increased significantly in recent decades and they are now widely used in several industries. Examples include the production, packaging, construction, automotive, infrastructure and electronics industries, in which plastics have contributed to environmental benefits in many ways and have made our modern lives possible. Unfortunately, plastic has also resulted in problems, such as littering and microplastics in the soil and oceans. Polymeric materials have an important role to play in a sustainable future, but it is important to know when, where and how they should best be used.
RISE works with polymeric materials throughout the value chain, from prototype and product development to manufacturing, use and verification and all the way to recycling or reuse. We have unique, extensive and well-equipped test and demo facilities at our disposal in which we can manufacture, test and verify across the chain. We also carry out accredited testing and certification, through which we safeguard our position as an independent party.
