Contact BoelThe project Testbed for Future Production of Lightweight Products Using Smart Material Solutions will provide a test and demonstration facility that includes advanced materials, manufacture and circularity.
The products of tomorrow will be subject to increasing demands; lower weight, longer working life and improved materials utilisation will all be prerequisites for sustainable development and increased competitiveness.
The purpose of the testbed is to develop and evaluate manufacturing methods and material properties for lighter products, not simply based on individual materials, production methods or recycling technologies but with the emphasis on holistic solutions with sustainable lifecycles.
The testbed will consist of two main components:
