Testing of aerodrome lighting and signs

Accredited classification of aerodrome lighting and signs in accordance with ICAO annex 14. 

Purpose

The International Civil Aviation Organization regulates the design and function of aerodrome equipment through the 14th annex to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. Fullfiling the requirements in the annex confirms that the equipment is safe and can be marketed without complaint. 

Method

RISE is accredited to perform testing of lighting and signs in accordance with an internal method which is based on the requirements in the 14th annex to the Convention on International Civil Aviation. 

Testing involves photometric measurements of light distribution, light spectra, luminance and chromaticity coordinates etc. 

The testing is performed in the laboratory for photometry and radiometry in Borås, Sweden. 

Deliveries

The results are presented in a digital report in english which indicates that the testing is accredited.
