RISE has more than 130 technology infrastructures designed to support the competitiveness of the Swedish industry, accelerate innovation, and improve the efficiency of product, process, and method development. Most of RISE's technology infrastructures are in Västra Götaland County. Yesterday, Sten Tolgfors, the Governor of Västra Götaland County, visited Sweden's National Metrology Institute and RISE EMC facility in Borås.

"RISE is a state-owned institute tasked with safeguarding the country's competitiveness. I am glad that such a large part of it is close to us. RISE is an important collaboration hub for Sweden - and has a fascinating range of activities," says Sten Tolgfors.

Krister Kilbrandt, Director of EMC Vehicles at RISE, welcomed the Governor to Borås and gave the governor a tour of the EMC facilities, including AWITAR, the largest and most advanced test chamber at RISE EMC. AWITAR offers a cutting-edge environment for high-tech testing across industries, primarily focusing on vehicles and large machinery.

“RISE unique facilities here in Borås play an essential role in pushing the boundaries of product and system testing. AWITAR stands out as it is the only large-scale chamber of its kind in the Nordic region, offering world-class capabilities that empower companies to meet today’s toughest technical demands,” says Krister Kilbrandt.
