We strive to realize a future with sustainable, healthy and equal public meals in Sweden. Through research and development, lifelong learning and collaborations, we work purposefully to achieve this vision.

Almost everyone in Sweden takes part in public meals several times during their lifetime, which gives us a unique opportunity to influence and change attitudes and behaviour. Our ambition is to promote sustainable and healthy eating habits throughout society, and thus contribute to a better future for everyone.

Our team at RISE consists of employees with excellence in public meals, organized within the unit for Sustainable consumption and production of foods. We work closely with other competencies at RISE to jointly drive meal development and innovation, both through projects and shorter missions.

The member networks

By running the knowledge networks Måltid Sverige and Skolmatsakademin, we drive the development of public meals. Our goal is to strengthen the quality of public meals in schools, care and social care and to act as a bridge between research, authorities and meal operations.
