What are you most looking forward to about working at Processum?

"RISE and the Processum Biorefinery Cluster offer a platform where I can work closely with academia and industrial partners, with a focus on sustainable chemistry. The cluster provides a great network within the department to collaborate and bring together different research backgrounds under one umbrella," says Chandani. 

For Santosh, this is also an opportunity to apply the scientific knowledge in catalysis and solvent development that he brings from almost a decade of academic career. 

"The applied and pilot-scale processing approach to provide sustainable and innovative solutions to the industries as well as societal problems has attracted me to RISE. Here, I get the opportunity to participate in industrial problem-solving processes," says Santosh.

Andraes agrees with his colleagues and adds that he is very much looking forward to working with new colleagues to develop solutions for faster identification and modification of suitable microorganisms for bio-based products

How do you prefer to spend your time when you are not at work?

“I love cycling, hiking and cooking Indian food in my free time. Baking is the new hobby. After all, baking is just like synthesis in chemistry," says Chandani.

Both Andreas and Santosh enjoy spending time with their families. Santosh adds that he likes to watch local and international news on TV, read books in Swedish, preferably easy to read, and scientific research articles.
