Life-cycle analysis provides data for sustainable growth
A life cycle analysis (LCA) is a method of determining the environmental impact of a product or service to developed it in a more sustainable direction. We usually hear the term used in relation to products. How much environmental impact is caused by beef, cars and homes? But life cycle analyses can also be performed on services such as a bus journey, recycling and training.
LCA are used in everything from research projects for innovative new solutions, to consultancy assignments for brand owners who want to compare their products and services with those of their competitors. RISE helps companies to formulate relevant questions and then performs LCA studies to find out the answers. We can also assist with environmental product declarations (EPD). RISE team of around 40-50 LCA specialists have close links to one or more research areas, such as the food industry, digital infrastructure or packaging. The combination of these two aspects makes RISE unique.
