Greetings from the Centre Director June 2024

Summer is here, and we have had a very intense period in NextBioForm during the spring. The rewards for several years of research can now be reaped.
In May and June we had three PhD dissertations and one licentiate dissertation. Congratulations to our new PhDs Johanna Hjalte, Daniel Osanlóo and Lingping Zhang and Licentiate Hans Bolinsson! Read more about their research below. We are extremely proud of their research and wish them all the best in their future careers.
The collaboration in NextBioForm is thriving, with new research projects started during the spring, focusing on implementation of AF4 technique at CoSAXS (MAXIV) and investigation of the water in dry formulations using solid state NMR. The preliminary results and detailed plans were presented at the spring centre meeting in Lund. New developments also include molecular dynamics simulations of proteins in solid formulations and solution, which give new insights in connection with the experimental investigations.
We are now looking forward to building on our workshop on continuous manufacturing of biological pharmaceutical products after a relaxing summer.
