Sample environment for humidity and temperature control for SAXS experiments
05 April 2024, 15:19
The humidity in the environment affects drugs during processing as well as during storage. To be able to study the real-world effect of humidity on drugs, our postdoctoral researcher within WP4 has worked on designing and prototyping a suitable humidity environment for CoSAXS. After several prototypes, the final design and a suitable material has been identified, and a final humidity cell will be produced and commissioned. The cell will feature a sample changer for several (6-12) samples in controlled humidity and temperature, which allows more efficient study. Currently, there are plans to continue this development as part of NextBioForm in a collaboration between CoSAXS and Malmö University with the aim to commission the environment for user experiment and extend the usability also to other beamlines at MAX IV.
