FINEST at Food Science Sweden's annual conference

On April 10, Food Science Sweden organised its annual conference in Örebro on the theme "Food System in Transition".  Formas' centres were presented at the meeting. FINEST was presented by Karin Östergren together with Catarina Englund from The Green Dairy, one of the FINEST partner companies.

"What is unique about FINEST is that we have created a common basis for co-creation and a better mutual understanding of our respective challenges, and together we have raised our sights to see the big picture," says Karin Östergren. "FINEST has also contributed to the generation of new collaborations between partners and between researchers and partners, which is proof that what we do really contributes to the knowledge building needed to make a concrete contribution to a transition."

In terms of academic research, FINEST has two PhD students and five postdocs. Together, the researchers have so far published ten scientific articles - four are currently under review and seventeen more are planned.  In addition, there are thirteen conference contributions and a number of master's theses. The collaboration has also generated seven new research projects.
