E2P2 panel talk DCN Milan April 2024

Data Center Nation Milan is regarded as the premier event for the Data Center industry in Italy. The EU project E2P2, EcoEdge PrimePower, was invited to a panel talk about fuel cells and how they can decarbonize the data centre industry.
The conference offered crucial updates from local and international stakeholders on the optimization of digital infrastructure assets from a Facility, IT, and Business standpoint. Alongside the conference, a comprehensive Expo Area where the attendees had the chance to experience hands-on demonstrations by vendors of state-of-the-art infrastructure equipment, software and services.
The panel talk with the title “Solid Oxide Technology for Innovative Data Centers” was presented by Stefano Modena and Andrea Tomasi from SolydEra, Jeanette Petersson from RISE and Laura Semprini from ESE Engineering Services for Energy Srl. Data centers are always looking for ways to reduce their carbon footprint. In countries where the electricity is now green, natural gas as a source for energy can be a step in the right direction to carbon neutrality. With the E2P2 project, this can be made possible.
