We're thrilled to have been part of this year’s Open Compute Project Foundation Global Summit, which saw a record-breaking 7,000+ participants coming together under the theme “From Ideas to Impact.” As an OCP Experience Center, RISE made substantial contributions, demonstrating our leadership in shaping the future of sustainable data centers.
Key Highlights:
🎤 Chairing the OCP Future Technologies Symposium (FTS): RISE congributed to the OCP Global Summit with Jon Summers serving as Chair of the FTS, where he also led the keynote presentation, "The Data Center Trilogy: Power, Cooling, and Sustainability for the Future." As Chair, Summers steered the Symposium towards exploring future opportunities through collaborative R&D, while his keynote addressed key topics like energy efficiency, advanced cooling, and sustainability—critical to shaping the future of data centers.
📊 Presenting "Reimagining Data Centers: Distributed Intelligence, Digital Twins, and Sustainability Innovations" by Çağatay Yılmaz and Johan Kristiansson. This presentation explored the integration of data centers into energy grids, with a strong emphasis on waste heat valorization to help meet 🇪🇺 European sustainability goals. The projects HEATWISE and SovereignEdge.EU were introduced, focusing on cutting-edge solutions like digital twins and AI orchestration for a sustainable compute continuum.
📑 "Experimental and Numerical Evaluation of Direct-to-Chip Two-Phase Cooling" poster: This work is a deep dive into enhancing thermal performance and waste heat recovery in data centers, utilizing experimental and numerical methods, and open-source tools to drive the future of two-phase cooling technologies.
