During the virtual DataCenter Day event in October, Tor Björn was invited to hold a keynote on machine learning, modeling and large-scale experiments in datacenters.
Ulrike Ostler Editor in Chief DataCenter-Insider.de made an interview beforehand about how datacenters will look like in the future, how waste heat recovery will be done and the importance of energy efficiency.
During the presentation Tor Björn talked about the exciting times in the data center industry. How the growth due to media services, 5G, IoT in industry will increase the need for technology development. The use of machine learning in datacenters is due to the need to augment both humans and the machines. Increased automation is needed both in mega datacenters and edge nodes to make them more efficient, operated at sweet spots and autonomous. Read more.
